Melanie Smith, of The Ewing Group, has over 10 years of experience in the industry of Real Estate. Currently, I run a private practice which includes sales & consulting in the residential, multi-family & commercial realms. My offices is located off Loring Park in Downtown Minneapolis. I work with many investors, owner occupants & banks or asset management companies (auction assistance upon request for corporate clients). I am an active member of the St. Paul Area Association, and a former member of their housing committee, as well as a member of MNCAR (Commercial Association of Realtors) & NAR (National Association of Realtors). I offer a back ground of over 2 years in finance including process & origination which helps me assist my clients in contract negotiation, credit repair, understanding RESPA & finance terms. My career has also given me the opportunity to manage a commercial & residential portfolio for my previous broker. I am known to assist investors through the rental process, including but not limited to, marketing, leasing, contract drafting, & eviction. I take on Fee- Management contracts or do consulting on a regular basis for my clients. Recently I passed my MN Residential contractor exam & am an approved HUD selling agent. I am a licensed Realtor, currently holding my license with The Ewing Group, LLC. I specialize in foreclosed properties and re-hab projects. I personally have purchased 4 re-hab foreclosure single family homes, which were fully re-modeled and are currently being held as rental inventory. I also hold my MN General Contractor license and run a re-modeling company, LP Design. We work hand in hand with an architect and interior designer, along with various labor crews ready for any size job. I am also fluent in Spanish and have 8 years experience in the collection industry, which has given me valuable knowledge in credit repair and debt settlement. |
